Are you happy with the quality of your local park?

Parks play a vital role in the life and health of a community. They are open and accessible spaces for exercising, socialising, holding events and getting back in touch with nature - which is known to help with mental health.

Park Rangers have been instrumental in the maintenance of public parks, dealing with anti-social behaviour, out-of-hours access to buildings, and car parks. Birmingham City Council is now removing the Park Ranger service as part of a programme of cuts by the Labour Administration. Let us know below if you're happy with the state of your local park.

Quality of Parks

Generally speaking, prior to the recent cuts, on a scale of 1 to 5, how well maintained would you say your park was; 1 being very poorly maintained and 5 being very well maintained.
Are you aware of the cuts to the Park Ranger service in Birmingham?
The Park Ranger service previously employed 11 Rangers across the city who responded to anti-social behaviour issues, were the point of contact for alarms to park buildings, staffed visitors' centres, responded to "cars locked in" and monitoring water levels at reservoirs. This service has now been removed.
How would you rate your local park, on a scale of 1 to 5, after the recent cuts. 1 being very poorly maintained, 5 being very well maintained.
We're looking for local people who are passionate about their areas to stand for election to Birmingham City Council. would you be open to being contacted about standing for election?
