In response to ITV and More in Common's poll, showing the Local Conservatives due to make gains in the upcoming elections, Cllr Robert Alden (Con, Erdington), Leader of Birmingham Local Conservatives, said:

ITV and More in Common’s poll shows the Local Conservatives are set to make gains, as others have also shown, but with 3 weeks to go, the risk remains that Labour will simply refuse to give up power, like they refused to accept losing the no-confidence vote in the Council just weeks ago. The election is on a knife-edge with just weeks to go, and this poll confirms that a vote for Reform simply lets Labour hold onto enough seats to remain the largest party. Only a vote for the Local Conservatives will kick Labour out, and then we can deliver our plan to save weekly bin collections and clean up the city.
