Local Candidates, for Council Dan Caldicott and Police and Crime Commissioner Les Jones, are shocked to hear of the robbery that took place at the One Stop shop on the Bristol Road in Longbridge Ward on Thursday evening.  Les Jones said “Violent crime is a growing problem in the West Midlands and incidents like this are the reason why I would focus resources on strong local neighbourhood policing to deter criminals and keep people safe.” This follows similar incidents in the local area in the first quarter of 2016 Dan Caldicott said “I am worried about the increasing amount of raids on shops across Longbridge Ward, having already had four raids on the shops in Frankley. I fully support Les Jones’ common sense action plan for tackling crime across Longbridge Ward.”
