IMPROVEMENTS AT DANGEROUS CROSSING

Birmingham Council has been running a consultation on proposed improvements for pedestrians and cyclists at the busy Pershore Road and Priory Road junction in Edgbaston.

Edgbaston Conservative Councillors Deirdre Alden and Matt Bennett (pictured at the consultation event) have been calling for improvements here for years (literally!) so are delighted that something is going to be done at last.

The consultation events, held at the MAC, have been spread over three days, with a good turn out and most comments very positive. Funding has been secured for the improvements and the Council hopes that work will start in late spring.
