The Supper Club was formed in 1962 to sustain and promote the objects and values of the Conservative Party in the West Midlands with ten monthly meetings which include a three-course evening meal followed by a short address from a guest speaker.
The suppers are all taken in the Eaton Suite of the Eaton Hotel, Hagley Road, Edgbaston on the second Monday of month, except for our special summer occasion when we enjoy a lunchtume outing somewhere in rural Warwickshire.
It is a members' club. Potential new members are welcome to attend one supper to consider joining while existing members are always welcome, to bring guests to a supper by prior agreement with the Club's Supper Secretary.
The suppers are served at circular tables of up to 10 people each, thereby allowing for easy converation amongst members and guests.
The topics covered by our invited Guest Speakers are purposely wide-ranging but a popular theme is often some aspect of Birmingham's prestigious history and economic or cultrural development.
(Please note that the Club meets in Edgbaston but it is not necessary to be a resident of that area to become a member.)
