Missed Collections in Kings Norton

Conservative Councillor for Kings Norton Simon Jevon has been helping residents with missed collections and wheelie bin problems following the first week of the new service last week.

Simon said: “A number of residents have got in touch with me to complain about missed collections – particularly in roads where properties have been ‘red-carded’. That’s a household that has been deemed unsuitable for a wheelie bin. It seems like while the wheelie bins have been collected, black bags have been left.” The Conservative Team in Kings Norton has reported these issues to the council when they have arisen.

This week is the first week of the recycling service for many residents. If your collection is missed, visit www.birmingham.gov.uk/missedcollections for information on how to report it.

Sadly, there are many residents who raised objections on the grounds of wheelie bin unsuitability and had their appeals turned down. The City Council will be reviewing the service in February 2016 so residents who still have concerns should appeal again.
